CYCLONE is
an anthology of poems that interrogates the frontiers of particle
physics in order to lend full play to experiences in our current
material and noumenal world. It evidences the limits of
inventiveness via technique to showcase the condition of the
Nigeria nation in all ramifications of her national life, by
touching upon several themes like Carthasis: for Igbos,
My Western Rib, Colonel Adekunle Fajuyi, Major General J.T.U.
Aguiyi Ironsi, National Anthem, Ambassador, Throat - in terms of its
political turf. Its claim to global significance is again met in the
discourse of topics like Ichi:for Cindy Crawford, Thunder :for
Marion Jones, Nelson MANDELA, Michael Jordan, Ikenga:for
Philip Emeagwali, Ugulu Ifite:for Wole Soyinka, Sharks, Amuma, and
Udala:for Obu Udeozo. The SUN stated recently that " Obu Udeozo's
Cyclone and Compassion treat almost every subject under the sun".
The works of this poet have been reviewed with wide acclaim in
almost every Nigeria and International media and are generating a
plethora of scholar Dissertations across the Universities in the
Nigeria nation.
However, the lasting import of this work is
that it has explored the techniques of literature from the fields of
science, painting, philosophy as a sociology of knowledge for the
21st century global civilisation in a way no other text has done in
the last 2000 years of human experience. |
