a)
What changes in youth policies do you think the
government/leadership in your country should make to promote a
CoP? I think my government has to make it possible for local
governments to promote a culture of peace programs locally so that
the programs can reflect well the local communities they
serve.
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think
the UN should do? The UN should better
promote youth advocacy and programming internationally. There
is already an NGO youth committee but not directly at the UN.
It would be good to have youth in decision making positions at
the UN so that the usual older adults don’t continue to make
decisions for them or try to speak for them.
OPTIONAL
QUESTIONS 3. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for
improving youth participation in CoP activities on any levels
(UN, government, civil society)? Make it relevant to their
lives rather than an abstract theoretical idea. It’s already
happening all over just called by other names. Identify these
and how they are called.
4. What could be done to
improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting
the CoP? Have a web site and email egroup. Have
regular meetings of reps who then are responsible to let their
groups to keep them updated.
5. To ensure the best possible
return of a voluntary fund for youth and CoP, how should it be
managed/administered? I don’t know much about this.
6.
How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and
motivated? Partner with local youth groups already doing
similar work. |
