1. a) - Promotion of Peace
Education curriculum at schools worldwide, specifically using the
model of Life-Link Friendship-Schools Programme
www.life-link.org. - Arrange an international conference of
“school-networks” working for promotion of Health – Conflict
Resolution – Environmental Care/Sustainability, in order to obtain
optimal synergy between existing programmes. Such a conference
should also discuss how youth/educators/schools can play an
important role for confidence building and “common security”.
Sigtuna boarding school in Sweden would be the perfect venue for
such a conference 2008?
b) - Official recognition from
Ministries of Education, UNESCO, National Missions at the UN,
Olympic movement, positive reactions from some of the most
“prominent” international school-networks world-wide.
c) -
Expand the Life-Link Friendship-Schools Programme into regions of
post-war situation and regions with weak democracy. The Life-Link
programme outlines proposals for short-time youth and schools
“peace actions”. - Life-Link would be more active in
campaigning, based on official and recognized UN days, Life-Link
proposed actions. - Organize a conference as outlined
above.
d) The same as 1 b (above), and closer contact with
UN/UNESCO decade campaigns such as Culture of Peace, Water decade,
Education for Sustainability, Olympic Truce resolutions, Peace One
Day, etc
2. a) - Upgrade the status for educators and
teachers working with Peace Education programmes at their schools
and within their communities! - Promotion of Youth Immigration
and integration programmes – Active programmes for each immigration
family to have a host/supporting family for the first year at your
new living in a new community. (“Fadder-familj”). - Physical
activity programmes at schools and within communities that promote
self-esteem and social skills and learning to solve problems within
a “constructive collaboration” frame (=Non violence). Also
beneficial for a drug free culture. - Invite sport and cultural
stars as models for “fair play”. Soccer and FIFA as an important
example
b) - Promote official UN days at schools -
MUNGA programme promotion - Sport and Peace / Olympic Truce
promotion at schools and youth clubs worldwide. - Continue to
ensure high quality education in developing countries. - Ensure
a “sustainable” Internet system

- Advisory role, more than financial support. - Youth NGOs
involvement.

7. - There are several
school-networks in the world that should be contacted such as
Eco-Schools, UNESCO ASP schools, United World Colleges,
International Baccalaureate schools. - Sport organizations and
sport clubs world-wide. More of “peace-aware ness and fair play
culture” could be introduced in the world of sport! (Soccer, Golf,
Tennis, Table-Tennis, etc)
