This
questionnaire will lay the basis for a UN youth fund for a culture
of peace (CoP). We would like your input concerning the
activities of such a fund. Although it is your personal input,
we would like to know what organization you belong to.
You
may be asking yourself “what is a Culture of Peace?” A culture
of peace, is not merely the absence of war. Currently there is a
United Nations Decade on Culture of Peace and Non-violence,
2001-2010. As part of the decade, a program of action has been
adopted outlining the 8 core areas of a culture of peace:
Education for a culture of peace Respect for human rights
Sustainable development Democratic participation Equality
between women and men International understanding, tolerance
and solidarity Free flow of information International
Peace and Security

were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you
like to do as an individual?
EDUCATING YOUNG PEOPLE ON THEIR
HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE RIGHTS OF THOSE AROUND THEM, LEGALLY.

What non-financial support do you need to do these
activities?
MORAL SUPPORTAND SOME WAY TO DISPELL THE APATHY
THAT SURROUNDS THE YOUTH IN THE UK
c) If funds were
available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your
organization like to do?
AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS, FUNDRAISING FOR
YOUTH IN THE REST OF THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE
MARGINALISED (THE DISABLED, THE MENTALLY ILL)
d) What
non-financial support does your organization need for CoP
activities?
