QUESTIONNAIRE
Firstly) Is your organization youth-led or primarily youth-serving? Please explain briefly. Answer: 80% - youth and children and 20% adults ( 1 500 children, 350 adults,e.i teachers, school principals and former UN peacekeepers
1. INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES
a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a culture of peace (CoP) would you like to do as an individual? Answer: We culd double the activities in 2006-2007 in the field of culture of peace
b) What non-financial support would you need to do these activities? Answer: Nothing
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do? Answer: Youth forum for CoP, international youth summer camps of Walk the World activists, and coP supporters
d) What non-financial support would your organization need to do these activities? Answer: Nothing
2. SUPPORT FROM GOVERNMENT AND THE UN
a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP? Answer: It should adopt the Law for Yoth Policy, which is under discussion in State Duma for a few years
b) What CoP youth activities do you think the UN should carry out? Answer: Youth forum for CoP
OTHER QUESTIONS
3. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth participation in CoP activities on any level (UN, government, civil society)? Answer: To help existing youth NGOs to organize Youth Corps of CoP supporters
4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP? Answer: a) To organize round table of really existing and acting in the the field of CoP Youth NGOs b) To help to translate existing newsletters (including "Voice of Peacemakers") of Youth NGOs into English. c) To organize board of editors of existing newsletters (including "Voice of Peacemakers") and to issue a special newsletter
5. To ensure the best possible benefit of a UN Voluntary Fund for youth on the CoP, how should it be managed/administered? Answer: To organise a board of youth leaders. The word 'leaders" is to be understood as leaders of existing NGOs which are well known in their country as acting in the field of CoP.
6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated to get involved? Answer: As far as Russia in concerned it may be the distant courses for teachers in the civic education in CoP
7. a) Which other organizations do you know of, that work for a CoP? Answer: New Civilization (created by Khodorkovsky)
b) Would you be willing to contact them or may we contact them with the questionnaire? Please specify. We shell inform them as subscribers of the Voice of Peacemakers
