1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual?
As
a trainer I would explain to youth or youth organizations the
principles of forming CoP, the forms of involving youth in the
implementation of these principles, I would work on involving the
youth, young journalists, students of societies involved in the
conflict in work out of joint projects
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities?
I
would need methodological manuals, literature, information on
implemented projects and their results, as well as information on
projects of CoP carried out in other conflict zones.
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do?
Our
organization would like to organize summer schools with the
participation of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh, organization
of Young Leaders of Civil society, Peace Caravans on culture, sports,
civil society, formation of network of resource centers on CoP. d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities?
Cooperation,
information and experience exchange with organizations which
implemented similar activities. Formation and development of
cooperation with relevant European Structures.
2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?
I
think the government/leadership in your country should include in
education programs of public schools teaching of principles of CoP,
should expand the topic of CoP in the History books, organize youth
forums on religious and ethnic tolerance, involve youth in restoration
and protection of historical monuments (including graveyards) of other
nations. b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do? UN
should work out a 10-year program of activities on “Youth forms CoP”
the aim of which is to increase the role of youth in forming CoP in
societies involved in conflicts or which are in conflict tension. UN
should work out a special declaration or recommendation which
attaches importance to the states’ support of youth initiatives in
peacebuilding, peaceful regulation of conflicts, in increasing their
role as a generation which will itself form its future life.
