Q1-a - Developing the thinking of non-violence. Peace is the only way. -
Work with youths to develop their behavior in non-violent manner. Youth
is more prone to take up violence, so we need to divert their
attention. It is a challenge. - We cannot change the world.
Non-violence should start from oneself. One's thoughts spread as a
cancer. It develops within oneself.
Q1-b - Finance is not THE
way. When there are more money, concept and vision weakens. We need to
try to use minimum finance and make maximum output. - Getting an exposure to different skills is important such as; --Sharing experience among different people --Case studies regarding accepted morals of whole world. --Develop
people - Grass-root people's creativity is very important. They are the
best people. We need to start at grass-roots level, something they
should be able to do. - We cannot make peace without thinking of our
own fate. We need to deliver the message of their teaching/religion
('real teaching' of people) and tie them out to the idea of peace. We
need to reach out people with their own religion.
Q1-c -
Organization's role play is to promote conflict resolution/conflict
handling and develop non-violence. It should encourage people to
strongly believe in their own faiths and promote "unity in diversity". -
Conduct different programs to teach how to handle conflicts such as
"Peace Cadres". It will be formed by people who are dedicated to
non-violence. These Peace Cadres will work as animator in forming and
promoting people’s non-violent societies. These non-violent societies
can be non-violence youth movement, non-violent women's movement,
non-violent environmental movement, etc. - Youth should take
the prominent roles. Things should come more from youth. We need to
create youth group that are totally commited to non-violence. They have
to function as a non-violent action team and act against the conflict.
They will run into the scene and defuse the attention of armed
conflicts. We need to train youths to handle the situation. - Non-violence is the only way. - We need to create non-violence culture through arts, drama, songs, etc.
Q1-d Training skills, Human resources, Expertise. UN
is using a million of dollars for other things. They should be used for
non-violence. For example, use the animator (e.g. peace mobilizer,
peace cadres) and mobilize the whole village to non-violence. Q2-a -
In the current policy, government is recruiting more and more youth in
the army. It should change. Instead, the policy should be toward
peaceful negotiation and discourage armed forces. - Government should promote things to engage youth and people after work. - There should be more spiritual guidance in school levels.
Q2-b They
should let youths of all the world can meet. Increase youth exchange.
They should do a 'peace camp' where youths learn from each other and
jointly establish a project to carry a message of peace.
Additional comment: I
truly hope that UN will take it seriously. People are losing faith in
their double standard of Western politicians. There should be increased
role of youths and strengthen their opinion so that UN is forced to
listen to them. There should be more opportunities of participation
given to youths.
