Youth-led organization. (our definision of youth is beteen 18- 30 years old ,thought.) Japan Youth Ecology League, Eco-league, is a group of Japanese youth who wishes to promote better environment in the Earth. It is one of the largest youth networking organization, having more than 220 energetic groups entry, a nation-wide network of environmental activities. Eco-league supports people and groups by sending appropriate information to them and offering event opportunities for them.
1. INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES
a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a culture of peace (CoP) would you like to do as an individual? I hope that I can provide environment and development education for youth. Doing some volunteer work at developing countries is interesting. I'd
like to strength youth international network is interesting, that we
can recognize we are actually friend and the global issues in other
countries are our issues.
b) What non-financial support would you need to do these activities? The chances to face to face communicate with the youth keypersons of each country might be effective. And lingustic support is very helpful, because getting information and communicating in English is very high obstacle for paticually north asian youth.
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do? I'd like to send youth to the international conference or gathering. Then I'd like the participantes to report it to youth in Japan.
d) What non-financial support would your organization need to do these activities? Proposing that Japanse goverment should give a chance and found to youth-lead organizaation is helpful.
2. SUPPORT FROM GOVERNMENT AND THE UN
a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP? Japanese goverment trys provide good education for youth, including education for environment and susutainavle development. However, the goverment doesn't plan to give support regardless whether or not financial suppport.
b) What CoP youth activities do you think the UN should carry out?

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth
participation in CoP activities on any level (UN, government, civil
society)?
4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP? To provide infomation for youth organization directly might be usufle.
5. To ensure the best possible benefit of a UN Voluntary Fund for youth on the CoP, how should it be managed/administered?
6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated to get involved? To
make a presentation or workshop at youth gathering might be useful,
since there are already some youth organizations of motivated youth.
Youth just don't know there are oranization which support them and if
they know it they will develop their own activities.
