The Answers of Questionnaire
1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you like to do as an individual? I
would like to inform as large as possible to others young people the
meaning of importance Culture of Peace in ordinary life everyday.
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities? I
need some kind of material to bring simple campaign on streets, bus,
school, and other public spaces by leaflet, pin, sticker, and pocket
book.
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do? We can organize activities as below: 1. Workshop on education of pluralism and peace building within inter-faith issues. 2. Camp of adolescent to build human solidarity. 3.
Regular focus discussing groups in Senior High School to build capacity
of equality and inter-faith issues as the educational extra-curriculum. 4.
Monthly Bulletin of Youth in thematic: To Build Human Solidarity,
Peace, Human Rights, Gender Equality, Democracy, Conflict
Transformation, and Vulnerable Sidings. 5. Educational activities in
focused youth groups to empowering their capacity of conflict
prevention in daily cases of life within local wisdom spirit and civil
society.
d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities? 1. Technically tools for education activities. 2. Upgrading and building on organization capacity in global issues, larger networking, and personal achievement.
2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP? The
government as especially in Indonesia has to adaptive an educational
subject of policies that it should cover a regulation effort to educate
young people in formal school about peace, human rights, and non
violence issues.
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do? Prepared
application for wide funding opportunities in third world countries as
like as in Indonesia, especially CoP with compilation intervention
effort to reducing poverty whereas the young people were progressing to
be the main actors.
OPTIONAL QUESTIONS
3. Do you
have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth
participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government, civil
society)? On UN levels, we have recommendation that UN should
arrange a participative chance for youth to get involve into basically
problems. It means, UN must be progressive within youth support for
actions of intervention effort and also policies issues making not only
working by elite support by the government. The results and output
must be showing by directly impacts to build capacity democracy in
civil society targets. This effort on objectively target will be
depending to the youth’s participation as the main stakeholders. The
government and UN policies in CoP focal issues should mentioned the
strategy activity to courage young people in grassroots to be involving
by focused grouping as well as the executor of regarding programme. 4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP? UN
and its stakeholders in directly networking must be in focus
information as well as flow circulation to having an equal knowledge of
recent CoP process. 5. To ensure the best possible benefit of a UN Voluntary Fund for youth and CoP, how should it be managed/administered? Firstly it must fulfill criteria of good management of programme as below are: a. Transparency with direct accountability of report. b. Clear target with clear assumption of budget listed. c. Tight on period target of programme implementation d.
Clear concept of strategy MONEV that it mentions progressing and
achievement within completely instruments and behalf indicators for
each outputs as well. e. Clear systematical logical framework to
show capacity programme that it has ability to overcome the clear
problems as well as all strategy and methodology should be mentioned on
pilot stage of the project. 6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated?
The
possible effort to reach and build motivation on youth that not yet
involved in CoP is the massive campaign. The strategy is rather showing
by nation wide of CoP information and it’s regarding issues and also
possible by printed materials and so on. Implementation of these
strategy approaches will possible to get successful if it gets
compilation ideas to the bellows are: a. If the strategy is
appropriate to youth in each focused capacity or special conditions,
not in generally target. This idea is important to underline because
young people were living in many specific situations and it need to
reached by grouping assessment. b. If the strategy is under
supporting by people who were living around the young people everyday.
For example, programme needs to reach parents and teachers to get
involved indirectly as the part of stakeholders whereas the youth
