Education and training on Peace and Common Ethics. b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities? Relevant information on Peace and Common Ethics, training manuals and Trainers in Peace related activities. c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do? Education and training on Peace, Common Ethics and Human Rights. d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities? 2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP? The
Government should improve on the quality of Universal Primary Education
before introducing Universal Secondary Education. The government
should budget for youth programs/projects in the national budget. b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do? The UN should support NGOs, CBOs, which promote CoP activities.
OPTIONAL QUESTIONS 3.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth
participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government, civil
society)? The government should consult the youth in the country before formulating policies that concern or affect their lives. 4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP? The youth should be involved in all activities/programs of CoP at all levels 5. To ensure the best possible return of a voluntary fund for youth and CoP, how should it be managed/administered? The
Voluntary fund should be administered to projects/programmes that will
make a positive impact to the lives of the youth. The projects should
be monitored and evaluated to assess and verify that impact. More
still, all feedback concerning the proceedings of these projects should
be encouraged. 6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated? Through sensitization on radio talk shows, TV spots, drama, News articles on youth, etc. 7. a) Which other organizations do you know of, that work for a CoP? Uganda Youth Network (UYONET) b) Would you be willing to contact them or may we contact them with the questionnaire? Please specify.
