1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual?
A programme that seeks to promote a sustainable culture of religious, cultural and political tolerance and understanding would be key in promoting a CoP.  This is because peace is usually undermined when these above-mentioned realities are ignored or suppressed.  All racial, cultural, religious and political groupings want their existence and positions to be acknowledged.
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities?
The most appropriate support for us would relate to capacity building, so that we may know 1) the status quo relating to the CoP,  2)  how to implement interventions that will have a strong and measurable impact on the CoP,  3) methodologies for measuring success of the activities.
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do?
We would implement programmes that will teach CoP to children and youth.  These programmes would need to be sustainable and measurable.  We could also do campaigns (road shows) in schools and communities to promote awareness about CoP, and to foster tolerance.
d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities?
Access to a knowledge base of CoP; access to resources (human and material); training and development opportunities for our Youth Practitioners who will manage and implement programmes relating to CoP.

2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?
Our government would need to stipulate in youth policies a continuous support for programmes that promote a CoP in all the different religious and cultural communities that exist in South Africa. The policy should also ensure the release of funds so that CoP programmes may be implemented.
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do?
The UN could organize annual gatherings of youth sector participants from different countries.  These gatherings should take place in different parts of the world to acknowledge our differences and equality.  The UN could also publish a journal/newsletter that debates and promotes issues relating to a CoP.  The UN could also run an Essay Competition to promote a CoP.

OPTIONAL QUESTIONS
3. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government, civil society)?
Youth should be selected from different parts of the globe to attend sessions where they debate issues relating to CoP, so that they can deepen their understanding of CoP and also start to formulate their own ideas about what a CoP really is.
4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP?
A newsletter/journal  (electronic/hard copy) would be critical in ensuring transparency and a flow of information.  A mailing list could also work well as it would promote a network around a CoP.
5. To ensure the best possible return of a voluntary fund for youth and CoP, how should it be managed/administered?
In administering the fund, strict rules and guidelines of good governance should be following.  There should also be an independent board of advisors that will guard against lack of transparency and corruption.
6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated?
There should be an attempt to reach as many youth organizations around the world as possible.  Through reaching these, information will be easily defused and reached the beneficiaries.
7. a) Which other organizations do you know of, that work for a CoP?

b) Would you be willing to contact them or may we contact them with the questionnaire? Please specify.
