1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual?
I
would create more awareness on the need for youth to embrace creativity
and shun vices. I would do this using ICT as a tool; I would also use
forums and workshops and to sell home the idea of gender equality
amongst youth and even parents; Again political participation among
youth is a sure way of giving youth a sense of belonging and
responsibility, hence with funding i would make sure youth are
adequately represented in democratic governance.
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities?
I need updates on matters that bother on the above activities.
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do?
My
organisation would have ensured that there is free flow of information
for youth to be properly informed, by setting up internet
resource centers where youth can come in and acquire/share and hareness
ideals that engender peace and understanding among their rank and file.
d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities?
Materials that relate to the above idea. 2.a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?
Proper
and sincere youth representation in political participation; Youth
oriented programmes like job creation and subsidized education.
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do?
Should make education accessible to all youth who are willing to learn. OPTIONAL QUESTIONS 3.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving
youth participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government,
civil society)?
Education informs the youth, various
governments should subsidized education so majority of youth can have
access to quality education, only this can ensure a CoP globally.
4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP?
Government's sincere interest in youth oriented projects
5. To ensure the best possible return of a voluntary fund for youth and CoP, how should it be managed/administered?
A central office should be created, and regional offices should also be created for proper networking.
6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated?
By
having representatives in different regions globally and launching a
portal where youth of diverse cultures can meet to brainstorm and share
ideas/initiatives.
