1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual and organisation
We
would like to carry out the youth exchange programms which we already
have, but expand it to Europe. As for now, we have exchange programms
within the region and with Canada. It would be a great though if the
youth of Mozambique could go on exchange to Europe and vice-versa.
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities?
Something
the organisation has dealt a lot with is the troubles to get a visa for
these youth. It would be better if this somehow could be facilitated by
giving them the invitation or recommendation letter. This way they
youth could be mobile and their work could also gain national and
international recognition.
2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?
First, the government should recognize youth work and youth-led or youth-serving organisations. Is has not been done so far, while the youth of this country are doing great work and making a lot of progress.
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do?
The
UN should create more awarness of their work among the youth. It is
completly unclear to youth what the UN actually does and access to the
UN organisations is quite difficult. So before the UN should start activities etc. they should first create awarness among the youth.
3.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth
participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government, civil
society)?
See question 2b
