1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual? -set up peacebuilding programmes -creation of resource centres -access to information through youth centres
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities? - Networking amongst youths in Liberia - Trainings for leadership - Involvement of youths within the governance process
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do? - organising peace camps
2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?
The
government of Liberia has formulated a national youth policy. This was
designed during a national gathering of 10.000 youths from all over the
country. This involved interventions such as trainings,youth
employment,etc
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do?
-Training of young people for empowerment -Lack of ability for employment -aid in setting up youth offices -The UN should engage governments on the CoP Which other organizations do you know of, that work for a CoP?
Mr
Paulus is in the process of setting up a Youth Coordination Office in
the North of Liberia. He will also disseminate the questionnaire to the
network of organisations he has.
