1.a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual?

I would carry out series of peace activities most especially media activities because there are very effective and can be used a good means of communication.

b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities?

I need technical support like with media equipment's and some IEC= Information, Education and Communication materials on CoP

c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do?

Well my organisation promotes the culture of peace and non-violence through these areas: Training Programs, Information Dissemination, and Action on the Ideals and Activities of UNESCO.

d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities?

Technical support in terms of Peace Educational Materials and Media Facilities like mobile community radio stations and capacity building.

2.a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?

Well, the Gambia is a very peaceful country, but I think the Government of the day should create more youth employment schemes, because youth when left to idle find themselves in circumstances beyond their control and can be use as political tools to provoke conflict.

b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do?

Well I think they should try to promote mass CoP peace campaigns and decentralised funds for national CoP Campaigns.

3.Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government, civil society)?

I recommend that youth should be involved in all the process of the programmes and should be consulted before drafting programs on their behalf. This questionnaire is a good step in reference to that. Also setting up youth based peace projects like the one am personally involved in now, Called the Youth and Conflict Project.

4.What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP?

Promoting mass information, education and communication.

5.To ensure the best possible return of a voluntary fund for youth and CoP, how should it be managed/administered?

Managed by a committee made of experts and direct beneficiaries themselves.

6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated?
Sensitisation and advocacy programs and campaigns including, training's, seminars, symposiums, forums and youth gatherings

7. a) Which other organizations do you know of, that work for a CoP?
Youth Ambassadors of Peace
Youth Crime Watch
Red Cross Society
Children for Children Organisation

b) Would you be willing to contact them or may we contact them with the questionnaire? Please specify.

I will contact them for you.
