QUESTIONNAIRE

Firstly) Is your organization youth-led or primarily youth-serving? Please explain briefly

Yes, it is. My organisation is a network of youth organisation, led by youth or concerning you.

1. INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES

a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a culture of peace (CoP) would you like to do as an individual?

I would like to organise forums where the youth is introduced with the many cultures of my country, along with the many cultures of conflict resolution.

b) What non-financial support would you need to do these activities?

I would need contacts with  with scholars, organisations working on peace.

c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do?

d) What non-financial support would your organization need to do these activities?

2. SUPPORT FROM GOVERNMENT AND THE UN

a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP?
The government should have policies that include the youth in its decisions. It should also promote such policies so that they youth know, and so they will act accordingly.

b) What CoP youth activities do you think the UN should carry out?

The UN should have youth cultural centers in many countries. It should also incourage the youth to make researches about peace in their culture, which would in a way set a precedent to the coming generation.

3. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth participation in CoP activities on any level (UN, government, civil society)? The first suggestion i have is for the UN to promote the CoP and UNYO. And then having the youth do researches or express themselves in any way they would like (painting, writing....) and have contests on that.

4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP?

5. To ensure the best possible benefit of a UN Voluntary Fund for youth on the CoP, how should it be managed/administered?

It should be administered by the youth themselves. There should be some sort of panel of youth from all over the world that all the youth organisations, that have received funding, to be accountable to.

6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated to get involved?

By using many medias, not just the internet but printed media as well.

7. a) Which other organizations do you know of, that work for a CoP?

b) Would you be willing to contact them or may we contact them with the questionnaire? Please specify.

8. My response to this questionnaire is my personal opinion ? _yes
