1. a) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would you to do as an individual? Education for the culture of peace and free flow of information related to the other aspects of the culture of peace
b) What non-financial support do you need to do these activities? Documented data’s (information) on the concept and culture of peace.
c) If funds were available, what youth activities related to a CoP would your organization like to do? •
Capacity building on Sustainable Development, Environmental issues,
Housing and gender issue (Youths should be trained and given the
opportunity to lead so as to face the challenges of today for a better
tomorrow).
d) What non-financial support does your organization need for CoP activities? • Technical support with resource persons
2. a) What changes in youth policies do you think the government/leadership in your country should make to promote a CoP? The youths must play an active role in their own development •
Youth should be involved in policy and decision making .Especially in
matters that concerns their development. (If man is at the center of
development, he should be at the same time the agent of development and
the beneficiary.) The voice of the youths which is the majority and the
hope for the society should always be taken into consideration.
b) What CoP youth activities/initiatives do you think the UN should do?
The UN should encourage the free flow of information, International understanding, tolerance and solidarity and education for the culture of peace amongst youths.

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for improving youth
participation in CoP activities on any levels (UN, government, civil
society)?
• Youth exchange programmes which will help to expand their capacities and ideas • Encourage youth volunteering and internships in the UN, government and civil society. •
UN should carry out capacity building training workshops or projects
that encourage self- reliant development amongst youths especially in
the rural areas. • UN should work with youths (youth’s
organisations) as potential sources of qualitative data’s. The youths
should be used for field works/research. • UN should encourage youth initiatives both financially and morally.
4. What could be done to improve/ensure transparency and flow of information in promoting the CoP?
•Youths should be involved in all the stages of the culture of peace (designing of programmes, decision making etc)
5.To ensure the best possible return of a voluntary fund for youth and CoP, how should it be managed / administered?
•The
youths should be left to design their own projects and the technical,
socio-cultural, political and financial feasibility studied before
administration .This could be followed with a monitoring committee or
the youths should work in partnership with the international
organisation to ensure the best possible returns.
6. How can youth not yet involved in CoP activities be reached and motivated?
•By
creating a youth network mechanism that will be made up of youth
organisations and will function in the dissemination of information and
carrying out of activities of the culture of peace in different
communities
