2009:
Monrovia: Peace Day activities including parades, radio shows, musical performances, a film festival and institutional information fair in 3 Liberian counties. Organized by New African Research and Development Agency.
2007:
Community Development Outreach (CDO), Inc. organized community events in Monrovia to celebrate the International Day of Peace. They had a Community Peace Tree planting campaign, a Students Interactive Forum on the importance of maintaining world peace, and liaised with other community-based and local organizations in carrying out community works in observance of the International Day of Peace.
The United Nations Mission in Liberia formed a Sport for Peace Task Force which included sport focused representatives from the non-profit sector, the UN, and the Liberian Football Association. Life and Change Experienced through Sport (LACES) participated as the Master of Ceremonies. The event started off with the national Women‟s Kickball Team, followed by teams from the Liberia Amputee Soccer League. It continued with live cultural music, a local comedian, and a reading and signing of the Peace Declaration. The Minister of Youth and Sports honored participants with trophies and medals to conclude the day.

On a global level, reported events for the International Day of Peace continue to grow year after year (see the website listed above):
In the 2005 Report, 155 Peace Day events in 47 countries are presented.
The 2007 records show that:
* We had 623 commitments across the world
* 70 countries
* 225 cities (outside of the USA)
* 42 US states
* An estimate of nearly 500,000 participants
* An average of 500 people per event
2009 annual report listed 700+ events
