-Community Peace building
Creation of a formal stable structure for collectively identifying, analyzing and resolving problems by stakeholders. Through the facilitation of periodic forums between stakeholders in the host communities, Oil industry and security personnel. The aim is to strengthen the channels of communication and encourage joint problem solving.
Security and Peace Education Project (SEPEP) Security and Peace Education is a short but intensive training that adopts an interactive/participatory methodology to develop participants’ attitude for respect of human rights, sensitivity to local sensibilities, conflict sensitivity in the discharge of their duties, observance organization’s health and safety environment, (HSE) standards, awareness of the voluntary principles on security and human rights (VPSHR), best practices in security provisioning in volatile area and in general promotion of public safety and security. The audience are security officials working with extractive companies or deployed to provide security to their installations. The training equips them with skills and expertise needed for engaging community members. Engaging community members in a manner that would reduce tension and reprisal attacks would promote community cooperation and partnerships.

- Improved communication and cordial relationship between host communities and oil companies / extractive industries Progressively, we have been able to achieve the following through our intervention programs in the Conflict in Niger Delta. - Improved cooperation and partnership between security officials and their host communities in the discharge of the duties;
- Reduction in conflict and violence between the extractive industry and their host communities;
- Reduced production loss as a result of shut downs and disturbances
- Reduced loss of life of security personnel in the line of duty. -And improved co-operation and partnership between and within communities in the project states (Bayelsa and Rivers States)

Difficulty in sustaining peace and peace programs as a result of the paradox of security where national security makes nationals insecure, for example in post conflict communities in the Niger Delta contact between security forces and community members are characterized by anxiety.
