PARTNERSHIPS AND NETWORKS: What partnerships and networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the global movement for a culture of peace?

We cooperate with the Tadjik Society of Friendship and cultural communication with foreign countries TODKS, with Association of development of small cities of Tajikistan «Vatanam», Association of villages and settlements of the Kyrghyz Republic, NGO «Dialogue (Southern Kazakhstan), mass-media.

ACTIONS: What activities have been undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence during the ten years of the Decade? If you already made a report in 2005, your information from 2005 will be included in the 2010 report.

We carried out projects: «the House of the Consent of Vahsh», «the Consent and Friendship House», "Creation" of the House of the Consent and Friendship» intercultural dialogue «Rangorang"("Variety of colours"). Management of variety: Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan». Participation in peace action UNTOOP-Tajikistan on peacebuilding and participation in regional trainings (august 2009, Dushanbe and november 2009, Osh, Kyrgyzstan.)

Ethnocultural cooperation in Central Asia in project "diversity management: Tadjikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.", supported by Open Society Institute, Assistance Fund in Tadjikistan (program "East-East")

PROGRESS: Has your organization seen progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of action and in your constituency during the second half of the Decade? |
Yes, in 2007 our organisation was the initiator of carrying out an inter-regional forum in the Central Asia on development of intercultural dialogue and intercultural harmony, satisfaction of inquiries of national minorities and increasing level of tolerance, good neighbourhood in a society, studying experience of cultural work - the national centres on management, the prevention conflicts.

OBSTACLES: Has your organization faced any obstacles to implementing the culture of peace and nonviolence? If so, what were they?
|
Yes, we faced problems with officials, with their old sights at occurring changes.

PLANS: What new engagements are planned by your organization in the short, medium and long term to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence?
|
In a view of friendship development between the people and peacebuilding in our region our organisation has developed the flagman project «Consent and Friendship House» which stage by stage should realise. Project realisation will allow introductions of experience of the next colleagues in Tajikistan, consolidations of possibilities of the creative public of ethnoses of the Central-Asian countries for revival and development of humanistic traditions, the statement of principles of the civil consent, friendship and good neighbourhood for the sake of harmonisation of a society and peacebuilding in region.
