PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Yes,
we have seen progress toward a culture of peace and non-violence. Our
GOAL: Provide a new official slogan for our town- “Atlanta: City of
Peace!” By renaming Atlanta’s airport (“The World’s Biggest &
Busiest Airport”) we can honor history’s 3-MOST internationally
accomplished, respected, and well-known Nobel PEACE Prize recipients-
Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Jimmy Carter. Our
ultimate goal is to collect 10,000,000 + names on the Global Internet
Peace Petition so that Atlanta Mayor Franklin will be convinced that
this is the “Win-Win” alternative that “Atlanta: City of Peace” needs!
We want to rename our airport: Gandhi–King–Carter International
Airport! Please sign our Peace Petition here:

|
OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
The
most important & biggest obstacle that has prevented & limited
our progress is a lack of public relations & advertising
experience. Also, if we could locate financial assistance, then we
could afford hiring a professional Public Relations company to send our
Press Release and ‘story’ to thousands of media outlets throughout the
State of Georgia, regionally, nationally, and even internationally!
We want to unite millions & millions of PEACE-lovers and
collect their names on our new Internet PEACE petition honoring Gandhi,
King, and Carter. PLEASE ASSIST: http://www.GKC-Airport.com

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
The
BIGGEST action our organization has undertaken to promote a culture of
peace and nonviolence during the first half of the Decade (2001-2005)
is to establish this Global Internet Peace Petition to unite
peace-lovers around the Earth. ALL peace-lovers will want to be a part
of renaming “The World’s Biggest & Busiest Airport”) in honor of
history’s 3-MOST internationally accomplished, respected, and
well-known Nobel PEACE Prize recipients- Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther
King Jr., and Jimmy Carter. Can YOU sign & forward our Global
Internet Peace Petition too? http://www.GKC-Airport.com

ADVICE: What advice would you like to
give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
The
advice that I would like to give to the Secretary-General and the
General Assembly to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence during
the second half of the Decade is this...
Contact me (as soon as
possible), and let's schedule an international press conference (in
Atlanta) to formally announce YOUR support of renaming “The World’s
Biggest & Busiest Airport”) in honor of history’s 3-MOST
internationally accomplished, respected, and well-known Nobel PEACE
Prize recipients! LOCATION OF PRESS CONFERENCE: On top of the
tallest hotel in the world (Atlanta’s Westin Peachtree Plaza:
www.Westin.com) is the Sun Dial Restaurant & Pub... where (in the
course of 1 hour) one may see CNN International, ALL of Atlanta, and
much of the State of Georgia! This is the IDEAL location for the
press conference and will allow everyone everywhere (who sees the
global news-media coverage) to increase their VISION for “Atlanta: City
of Peace!” With the “green-light” from YOU (Honorable
Secretary-General) the highly respected metro-Atlanta event producer-
Pennhouse Productions (www.PennhouseProductions.com) can NOW begin
coordinating every detail for securing the Westin Peachtree’s Sun Dial,
and they can also handle local announcements & promotion!
Please contact them ASAP (as soon as possible)… The owner’s name
is Suzanne Shaw Cashin (suzanne@pennhouseproductions.com).
Secretary-General, YOUR public relations team can handle global
news release of announcements to media outlets around the world.
Lets’ do this PRESS CONFERENCE & “BIG Idea” in service to the
health of our global family! ‘The GREAT Cause & Art of
Peace needs to be globally furthered! ‘The World's Biggest &
Busiest Airport’ needs to be renamed in honor of contemporary history's
3-MOST internationally accomplished, respected, and well-known Nobel
Peace Prize winners... Gandhi, King, and Carter! Our home (Mother
Earth) needs a capitol of peace. Gandhi-King-Carter International
Airport will cultivate global peace inside ‘Atlanta: City of Peace’ and
ALL around the Earth!
|
PARTNERSHIPS: What partnerships and
networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace? |
The
Gandhi-King-Carter International Airport Peace Initiative has NO
partnerships and networks YET... however... we are very OPEN to
starting some... please contact us. http://www.GKC-Airport.com
|
PLANS: What new engagements are
planned by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)? |
These
are the new engagements planned by our organization to promote a
culture of peace... When we WIN with our new name for Atlanta's airport
(The Gandhi-King-Carter International Airport) we will be educating
about Peace! Every time anyone anywhere on Earth hears the name
"Gandhi-King-Carter International Airport" they can begin having 'an
ethical moment' by considering how their own life is following the
great international examples of Gandhi, King and Carter. Millions &
millions of "cousins" in our global family (in every part the world)
can be inspired to create more peace in their own lives, and also in
others."
