PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Traing
of trainers on Active non Violence and Peace Eduacation for Teachers in
Senior Secondary School, as these are the transport agents that can
send the message of peace to the young generation who are the future of
tomorrow. Wanep is a Civil Society body that builds the capacity of the
gambian populace through trainings and sensitization of its members, as
it operates as a membership organisation. Recently, we conducted a
Capacity Building training Workshop on Conflcit Prevention and Good
Governance for the Civil Society Organisations in the Gambia. Also to
have a violence free society, WANEP is also working on a Project on
Small Arms and Light Weapons. As peace will be be obtain in the precent
of Arms in our mist.
