Adopted a number of recommendations and goals in the school for the Decade:
Respect
all life - Reject all sorts of violence - Share with others - Listen to
unterstand - Preserve the planet - Re-discover solidarity - Foster the
culture of peace through education - Promote respect for human rights -
Promote sustainable economic and social development - Ensure gender
equity and equality - Promote international peace and security -
Establish peace movements in schools and communities - Foster
democratic participation - Support participatory communications and
free flow of internation and knowledge.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?

Difficult to have meaningful development when basic needs are not met. Peace is more than the absence of war.
