PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
We
feel that we made progress in our work with the Palestinians before the
second intifada broke in 2000, and in our work within Israel between
Jews and Arabs.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
In our work with the Plaestinand the main obstacle was the Intifada. In our work within Israel we fine that fear and ignorence on both sides create a serious obstacle

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
We trained Israelis and Palestinians at the border crossing to work together in joint problem solving.
We
work with neighboring communities (Jewish and Arab) to creat a basis
for trust, understanding each other culture. Become aware of each other
fears, needs and hopes in order to be able to resolve conflicts on land
and other conflictual situation and to promote joint social and
economic projects.
We work with youth teacing them non violent ways to resolve conflicts, and respect the other.
