On the occasion of the International Year of a Culture of Peace (2000), ICJW and its affiliates marked the year with a series of round-tables, lectures and debates. The topics of peace was viewed by videos, clips, discussions on films devoted to peace as compared with war topics.
Considering that a culture of peace cannot be achieved without an instrument of education teaching tolerance, fight against discrimination and racism, and teach to recognise the other, ICJW continued its work started a few decades ago - through its interfaith /intercultural committee, by organizing relevant seminars in Brussels, in Eastern Europe, in Paris, Amsterdam, Switzerland focusing on the togetherness of different religions and cultures. Now more men partners are taking part in our actions, it is most important to associate both genders for progress. There is also cooperation between different NGOs with the same goals.
