PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
The
gymnasium is a UNESCO Associated school and participates in lots of
international projects and the students try to get information about
other nations involved in the projects and to present the best features
of our nation and our culture to them. This helps to break ignorance,
and suspense between our nations. The more precise information you get,
the closer you become.
|
OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
Predjudice, lack of knowledge and tolerance.
|
ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
Tolerance
would help us a lot. People should try to participate in various
projects and other activities. From my school’s experience I can say
that this helps to get and to spread information and helps not to be a
‘closed society’. We take part in many projects through our
international involvements.
|
ADVICE: What advice would you like to
give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
|
PARTNERSHIPS: What partnerships and
networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace? |
Part of the Life-Link Friendship-Schools network. Also a UNESCO associated school.
|
PLANS: What new engagements are
planned by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)? |
Continue our activities.
