PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |

A
AMARRIBO nasceu para proporcionar aos seus associados, filhos e amigos
da cidade de Ribeirão Bonito, desenvolvimento, cultura, consciência de
preservação do ambiente e de valores de convivência feliz em sociedade.
Temos avançado nesse nosso intuito. Anualmente, nos últimos 5 anos,
todo mês de julho, cerca de 800 pessoas retornam a cidade na data do
Encontro dos Amigos. É momento de muita paz, alegria do reencontro e
momento de renovação de esperanças.
A AMARRIBO ainda se destacou
como referencia nacional no combate a corrupção. Nesse sentido tem
buscado trazer a paz para a Saúde, a Merenda Escolar e a Educação, uma
vez que se não tivermos as verbas publicas desviadas, a sua aplicação
correta para os seus fins, trará mais dignidade ao ser humano. Essa
contribuição é para a paz de consciência de cada cidadão.

AMARRIBO
was created to give its associates, sons and friends of the city of
Ribeirão Bonito, development, culture, consciousness of preservation
of the environment and values of happy coexistence in society
We
have improved in that theme. During the last 5 years, annually during
July about 800 people came back to the city for Meeting Friends
day. Its a moment of a lot of peace, joy for the reunion, and a moment
to renew our hope.
AMARRIBO is well known as a national reference in
the fight against corruption. In that sense its been searching peace
for the Health, the School afternoon snack and the Education, since if
we won´t have the public funds deviated towards it´s correct
application for their appropriate objectives, will bring more dignity
upon human being. That contribution is for the peace of the
conscience of each citizen.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
Os
principais obstáculos que a AMARRIBO enfrentou foi a obtenção de provas
contra corruptos, as ameaças sofridas por seus membros. No entanto,
esses obstáculos não impediram o progresso. Podem ter retardado, mas
tomamos cada obstáculo como um desafio a ser vencido e em Ribeirão
Bonito, vencemos a corrupção grosseira. Nossa luta agora é a divulgação
desse trabalho aos 5661 municípios brasileiros, motivando as cidades a
se organizarem e realizarem um trabalho semelhante ao da AMARRIBO.

ENGLISH
The
main obstacles that AMARRIBO faced was the obtaining of proves against
corrupts, the long-suffering threats by his members. However, those
obstacles did not stop the progress. They may have delayed, but
we take each obstacle as a challenge to be defeated and in Ribeirão
Pretty we defeat the rough corruption. Our fight now is the
disclosure of that work through the 5661 Brazilian towns, motivating
the cities to organized themselves and carry out a similar work.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?

1. Formação da AMARRIBO JUNIOR – estamos formando jovens em valores éticos, honestos e responsáveis
2. Encontro Anual dos Filhos e Amigos
3. 75 Palestras realizadas em 10 estados brasileiros até fevereiro/ 05 sobre a experiência da AMARRIBO
4.
55 ONGs se formaram com os mesmos princípios e estatuto da AMARRIBO,
buscando o desenvolvimento de suas cidades, eliminando a pobreza e a
discriminação e garantindo inclusão social.
5. Estabelecimento
de uma Rede de Comunicação com 3000 cidadãos e 70 ONGs, que formam uma
corrente do bem, de preservação dos valores que a AMARRIBO prega.

give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
Atuar
na Cultura para os Jovens. Eles são o Futuro. Combate as Drogas, a
Violência e a Corrupção de forma intensiva, sem descanso, globalmente.

rest, globally.
