PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
The
organization has developed substantial relationships among
bilingual and multilingual editors, poets and writers from
different religions, races and cultures. Also a huge amount of writers
are trying to produce bilingual poems and articles about peace. They
are interchanging contents and publication of the translated pieces in
a true net of bilingual literature.

La organización ha producido relaciones sustanciales entre poetas , editores y escritores bilingües y multilingües
provenientes
de diversas religiones, razas y culturas. Un gran número de escritores
está tratando de crear poemas y artículos bilingües
por la paz. Ellos van intercamiando material y comentarios en una
verdadera red literaria bilingüe por la paz

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
Bilingual
poetry is not an easy thing to do. It needs of a complete education in
human values and at least two languages. This conditions reduces the
amount of writers and poets, prepared to afront the activity, which is
not easy to sell.

poesía bilingüe no es una cosa fácil de hacer. Necesita de una
educación completísima en valores humanos y por lo menos dos idiomas.
Esto condiciona y reduce la cantidad de escritores y poetas, preparados
para
afrontar la actividad, que no es fácil de comercializar.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
Bilingual MCA organizes contests of peace quotes, poetry and short stories for Argentinean children.
Also it teaches the bilingual poetry for peace to various students of different countries, also Argentina.
Our first international meeting took place during the International Bookfair of Baires on April 21th, 2005.-
Conferences have been dictated in the Argentinean territory about the literature of the peace and social poetry.
Bilingual
MCA works on the meanings of social poetry and some of our
articles have been published in literary magazines of India.
In the day of the International Peace, Bilingual MCA will give the
names of the winners of its contest of poems and stories of peace for
children. The winning contents will be translated and they will
be published in the websites of the organization.

Bilingual MCA organiza concursos de citas de paz y poemas de paz para niños argentinos.
También enseña la poesía bilingüe para la paz a varios estudiantes de países diferentes inclusive Argentina.
Nuestra
primera reunión internacional se realizó durante la Feria
Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires, el viernes 21 de abril
de 2005.-
Se dictan también conferencias en el territorio argentino acerca de la literatura de la paz. y poesía social.
Se han publicado trabajos sobre el tema de los caminos de la poesía social argentina, en revistas literarias de India.
En
el día de la Paz Internacional, Bilingual MCA dará los
nombres de los ganadores de su concurso de poemas y cuentos de
paz para niños. El o los contenidos ganadores se traducirán y
serán publicados en los sitios web de la organización.

To
promote bilingual literature through international meetings of
bilingual poets and writers, with the main topic of "peace through
bilingual literature" to work in.
Intellectuals of each nation may have the clue to find a necessary understanding of each other´s culture
Bilingualism could be one of the most effective resources to find international peace

Los intelectuales de cada nación pueden tener la clave para encontrar una comprensión necesaria de uno al otro

are trying to find cooperation from other organizations like UNESCO and
from several official institutions of argentinean government, like
Ministry of Education and "The Book Foundation"
