ACTIONS: What activities have been undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence during the ten years of the Decade? If you already made a report in 2005, your information from 2005 will be included in the 2010 report.

Netværket has performed and participated in European projects about sustainable urban development, addressing the problems in the marginalized areas og the European towns as well as empowerment for marginalized people, enabling them to become active citizens in their own right.
This has been combined with web-based learning activities, local media projects etc.

PROGRESS: Has your organization seen progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of action and in your constituency during the second half of the Decade?

a lot of young people from migrant and poor family background have become active citizens with an understanding of the importance of solidarity and democratic participation, as well as good education and jobs. The same has happened in our partner countries in Europe, also in our projects for other marginalized people, e.g. disabled persons.

OBSTACLES: Has your organization faced any obstacles to implementing the culture of peace and nonviolence? If so, what were they?

System thinking, automatic thinking,

PLANS: What new engagements are planned by your organization in the short, medium and long term to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence?

Continue with the European projects, with an interface between bottom up networking with marginalized groups and strategic approach to the top down agendas and values.

GLOBAL MOVEMENT: How do you think the culture of peace and nonviolence could be strengthened and supported at the world level??

Our global perspective is going to be strengthened by participating in Europe-Africa and or Europe Cuba projects on the longer term or maybe from next year
