UNICEF Over 500 children in Russia's North Caucasian republics of Ingushetia, Dagestan, North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria learned about peace and tolerance in summer camps which cut across ethnic lines for 10 days starting on September 24th. By sharing and celebrating their different cultures, children learned to accept one another and discovered what they had in common.

Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University arranged a public program entitled “Return of the Happy Fortune” at the Moscow International House of Music, on September 18. The thought behind the event was that this is a time of deep changes, and that maybe it’s time to change the fortune of the world. The program joined together science, philosophy, art and real life stories and included musical performances, exhibitions and video novels.

The Moscow Chapter of Service For Peace organized two days of “Lessons of Peace”. 160 teens aged 13-16 joined in an exploration of Peacemaking, simple points about conflict resolution, explanation of UN initiatives and a role- laying training called “How to cooperate”.
