SOYDEN has been implemented several project which are part of the campaign. These projects are as follows:

1. Development of Peace Education Curriculum
In this aspect, SOYDEN initiated a peace culture project as an intervention to train youth leaders, student leaders, children in the formal education school – Lower Primary and Upper Primary – and the community living in Banadir Mogadishu at large. The strategy of the project is to transform the culture of violence in to culture of peace so as reduce the repeated  conflicts among the Somali people and finally enable them to live peacefully in their environment and among themselves as
well.

This project was consists of two parts, one part was the development of curriculum in order to apply primary and intermediate schools in Banadir region. The second part was peace education training through radio broadcasting.

2. Fundamental Foundation of Peace Building Course.

This project was focusing to train 12 peace practitioners from Somali civil society conflict transformation

It was a two weeks course for people working with community-based organizations, nongovernmental organizations, and peace and justice movements, especially those working in or with communities facing protracted violence. We start with the assumption that people involved in local conflicts have the capacity to make peace, and those peace strategies arising from local initiatives will be more enduring, culturally and contextually appropriate, and require less outside support. The course was emphasized non-violent approaches promoting self-reliance and empowerment in the local community through application of transformation strategies aimed toward resolution of injustices.

3. Conference on the role of Somali civil society toward sustainable peace.

The conference was held for Somali civil society organizations for the reasons of providing them an opportunity to meet and discuss the role of civil society towards a sustainable peace in Somalia.
The participants included individual civil society organization as well as network and coalition organizations that represent majority civil society organization in Somalia. The conference was organized together by PAX Christi Greater Horn of Africa Network and SOYDEN
