2009:
Cluj-Napoca: Schools participated in Peace Day through short films, discussions, games and points, in collaboration with Peace Institute of Romania. Later, a flash mobs for Peace in 2 public squares took place to make their Peace message visible. In the evening, short films on Peace, followed by discussions, took place at Fantasy coffee shop.
Roman: A discussion on “Peace without nuclear weapons” was organized by “Pro Vita Universale” at the Municipal Library.
2007:
World Peace Prayer Society (WPPS) organized Peace Day media promotion.
2005:
World Peace Prayer Society (WPPS) Representatives of WPPS wrote several articles about International Day of Peace, that were published on Internet and in the National Periodical of the Romanian Franciscan Tertiare Order.

Reported events for the International Day of Peace continue to grow year after year (see the website listed above):
In the 2005 Report, 155 Peace Day events in 47 countries are presented.
The 2007 records show that: * We had 623 commitments across the world * 70 countries * 225 cities (outside of the USA) * 42 US states * An estimate of nearly 500,000 participants * An average of 500 people per event
2009 annual report listed 700+ events
