2009:
Belgrade: A children’s exhibition, “Walking in the Way of Peace and Friendship” was unveiled. It was created during summer workshops organized by Association of Fine Artists of Serbia and supported by Secretariat for Sport and Youth of Belgrade.
2007:
Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia member of Nansen Dialogue Network highlighted the “Meditation in Schools in Southern Serbia” and “Education for decision-makers in the Sandzak region” projects for the International Day of Peace. The projects were initiated in order to open inter-ethnic dialogue and cooperation in the educational sector in regions where Serbian and Albanian children attend completely separated schools. Other offices of Nansen Dialogue Network also helped to raise awareness of the importance of 21st September.*
Yoga in Daily Life Association – Novi Sad conducted prayer and speeches on global peace, regional peace, and peace within the communities, as well as how to contribute to more peaceful solutions and peace in the region.

Reported events for the International Day of Peace continue to grow year after year (see the website listed above):
In the 2005 Report, 155 Peace Day events in 47 countries are presented.
The 2007 records show that: * We had 623 commitments across the world * 70 countries * 225 cities (outside of the USA) * 42 US states * An estimate of nearly 500,000 participants * An average of 500 people per event
2009 annual report listed 700+ events
