ACTIONS: What activities have been undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence during the ten years of the Decade? If you already made a report in 2005, your information from 2005 will be included in the 2010 report.

PRONI Brcko, as youth organization worked on promotion of multicultural and multichannel development in Bosnia and Herzegovina trough a great range of activities, mainly supported by Sida (Swedish International Development Agency). Trough education of Youth workers/Youth Leaders in BiH PRONI Brcko manage to establish an organization that is still working and fighting for Youth and Human rights in BiH and contribute to peacefuller and democratic society in BiH. PRONI Brcko efforts are now recognized cross the country and cross the countries in Balkan region.

PROGRESS: Has your organization seen progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of action and in your constituency during the second half of the Decade? |
PRONI Brcko has prove that join coexistence and understanding amongst people that were involved in conflict is possible and that YOUTH is the force for changes n society when youth is seen as resource and not as problem.

OBSTACLES: Has your organization faced any obstacles to implementing the culture of peace and nonviolence? If so, what were they?

PRONI Brcko is, from its own begging, faced with political obstacles and PRONI Brcko work in BiH was newer fully supported by political elites that were/are in power in BiH.

PLANS: What new engagements are planned by your organization in the short, medium and long term to promote a culture of peace and nonviolence?

PRONI Brcko plan to engage in more networks that will contribute to our vision and mission and to enable PRONI Brcko to become a key stake holder in BiH youth issues.

GLOBAL MOVEMENT: How do you think the culture of peace and nonviolence could be strengthened and supported at the world level??
|
More understanding and cooperation amongst institutions and NGOs that deal with culture of peace and nonviolence is needed.
