| PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade?
 | We do not see progress yet, but we do have more members wishing to  become more active in reaching for a Culture of Peace.
 
 Our
norms:   US contributes 0.7% of discretionary budget for
 development + it honors its stated commitments of contributions.
 US ratifies the International Criminal Court Statute.  US
appoints a peace building UN Ambassador.

| OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
 | There is a US ideological thrust toward unilateralism, and the rise  of misinformation in the media.
 | 
| ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
 | We have created Resolutions in support of the ICC, the MDG's;
 
 We  have joined CONGO Committee, Sprituality, Values and Global Concerns.
 
 We have created International Peace Day Celebrations in New York and  Brooklyn that are interfaith.
 
 We have planted peace pole.

| ADVICE: What advice would you like to
give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade?
 | I would suggest that he begin using language highlighting "culture of peace"';
 | 
| PARTNERSHIPS: What partnerships and
networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace?
 | We
have partnered 3 networks:   Interspiritual Dialogue
(www.isdac.com) Student World Assembly (www.swa.org), and Human Agenda
 (out of FfD Conference);  we supported informal networking
at the  DPI/NGO Conference in 2004 encouraging other NGO's to form
 partnerships.
 | 
| PLANS: What new engagements are
planned by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)?
 | Plans-
more of the same;  with focus on increasing donor Funds in
 US;  stimulating community based programs with UNA/USA;
developing  dialogue connections with people of different
traditions;    deconstructing the -isms especially race and
gender.
