PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Yes,
our progress have been largely peaceful and non - violent. And, we can
attribute this to our collaborative but progressive approach.
We
can say with conviction that we did achieve significant goals in our
specific areas of focus - namely the Environment, Sustainable
Development, Citizen Lobbying, Media Activism, Coalition Building,
Education and Scientific Research without any violent or
confrontationist means.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?

Public
Ignorance & Non Participation, Government Lethargy & Red Tape,
Corruption, Uninhibited Consumerism, Illiteracy, Pessimism.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?

Green
Coalition is an independent non-governmental advocacy organization
dedicated to improving public health standards, protecting the
environment and promoting sustainable development & ethical
business.
We provide practical eco-friendly solutions that
integrate long-term economic prosperity and sound social development,
thereby bringing about real positive change. We implement this by
influencing public opinion, building constructive partnerships with
industry and the government and promoting community and corporate
programs focused on youth & public participation.

give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
1. Build Industry & Community Partnerships. This is a fundamental requirement in our current times
2. Eliminate Double Standards & Hypocrisy
3. Promote Moral & Social Ethics

We are a memebr of many networking organisations and use the Internet primarily to inter connect.
