progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Healthy Race of Educating my nation:
The Shaheen Educational Society has established schools on the base of
nationality in 1988. But all language speakers are welcome, admitted
and getting education here without difference. This is a positive and
healthy race. And I think others should also protect their nationals.
We are doing this without any external help. If the world helps us, we
will protect other nationals also. Now, we provide education to
Patthans (Half Afghans) on priority basis. But if we have recourses, we
will welcome all.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?

OBSTACLES
Shortage of Funds:
Our main problem is the shortage of funds. Here in Pakistan, peoples
donate huge amounts to the ones who work in the name of religion. And
due to our worst fanatical condition, we can not work as we want. A
large number of children are working in the streets, collecting
rubbish. Most of them are Afghan orphans. They collect solid rubbish in
the streets and than sale it on the needful. They earn US$ 15 a month.
If we have funds, we can pay 15 dollars to them. If we have money, we
can agree them in a minute. We can educate them in US$ 25 to US$ 35 per
year per student.
Behavior of Pakistani government:
We are
bounded to pay income tax, property tax and hundreds of taxes. We are
doing the duty of government and it was needed that government provide
us same facilities as they provide to government schools, but we are
treated as Stepmother. From where can we pay income tax? We are not
earning. Pakistani government officials are increasing registration fee
and hundred of ways are open for paying bribe to corrupt officials
according to the worldwide plan of keeping us in dark.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?

Main reason of violence:
We had figure out the question of today, which needs attention, is Why anybody can be violent? There are some reasons.
1. Lingual / Colour Injustice.
2. Religious injustice / differences.
3. Dishonor.
4. Frustrations.
5. Deprived / poorness.
1. Lingual / Colour Injustice
Here in Pakistan, a big nation is in governing class. They look down on
others and always think God has created them for worlds administration.
So, these things enforce the small nations to be violent.
In the
same way, in USA, Whites look down Blacks. In UK, Asians and Africans
are looked down and counted third class. If you are chatting on the
Internet, just check it, if you are Asian, the White Western peoples
will avoid chatting with you. (Not all whites)
So, these things should be stopped by the negative use of electronic media.
2. Religious Injustice / differences.
Western electronic media is continuously propagating against Muslims
and they are using all recourses to introduce Muslims as terrorists. On
the Sept. 11, 2001, the Western TV channels were showing a few scenes
where some Philistines Muslims were distributing sweets for happiness.
On the other side, they did not shown the Muslims who were so sad. Why?
Just to create hate in the hearts of Americans for Muslims?
After that, hundreds of Muslims are injured in the USA. There properties are loosed.
These
things should be stopped. Terrorists do not have any religion.
Terrorism is a profession. Was not the Ion Stain the world's most
dangerous terrorist? And what about Hitler?
3. Dishonor / Clutching rights of citizens.
Why no security is provided to the Swedish president? Because, they
believe that the government should never do anything, which create
violence. Why none attack on the president of Sweden? Why not the other
leaders of the world do same as him? If they provide rights, who fool
will be violent? If I am hungry, I will be violent. If anybody insults
me, I will be violent. If you will beat me, I will beat you. This is
the nature of every human. I salute Swedish president for his noble
policy. Others should follow him.
4. Frustrations.
Today,
Suicide attackers are found. Why anybody kill himself and others? Ask
yourself. A man arrested in a police station in Karachi for bribe as
routine, his brother tried but they demanded huge bribe, which was
impossible for him to pay. He was alliterated person and do not know
the tricks to approach high official. A terrorist gave him a bomb and
said to him to attack on police and this will be your surety of the
heaven and by this action, after you, they will not do with others. And
he did the same. Why?????
Because, he was illiterate. It is so
easy to brainwash them in any way. Come to my school, ask my students.
You can never find one in my 3500 regular and ex students. The system
here is ideal for terrorists. Nations in Pakistan are like ready clay.
You can fit it as you wish. You can create flowers from this clay or
can built a dangerous bomb.
6. Deprived / poorness.
Now,
if you want to kill anybody, just need to pay a little amount to a poor
person, he will kill for you. Why? Because, his children are hungry. He
also has needs and dreams. On the other hands, government is fixing
more and more taxes. World Bank is enforcing Pakistani government to
fix up more and more heavy taxes to burry the poor alive. A hungry man
is dangerous. If I am hungry, I can do anything. But if my wife and
children are hungry, than, I can do everything. Every crime, every
murder for meal.

About celebrating World Peace Day. (Sept. 21)
There is no need to waste heavy amounts on seminar. No result. In VIP
rooms and Air Conditioned Halls, talking and interviewing on TV, is
nothing at all. Come here, come to Orangi, poor are here. Just come out
from the Air Conditioned halls, you can find a lot of poor and needy.
You can not ignore the nature of humans. At a time, Cruel Injustice and
World Peace can never run together.
As India's Gandhi was wearing
rags. He was leader and can easily afford a beautiful dress. But he was
a Nationalist. He said, My nation is in rags. So, I am also.
If we
celebrate the above said day here. It needs to waste at least US$ 1500.
Why not we buy books for our orphans? We can help 1200 children on that
amount. So, there is no need to celebrate any world peace day. We do
not have fund and nor we would like to waste time and money on this
type of foolish things at all.
However, this year, we will give a lecture on the peace in the world in our schools on that day.

A view of our school
1. Education for a culture of peace
I had already discus in above lines. Education is root of peace. And no tree can stand without roots at all.
2. Equality of women
Our Education System is according to culture of Pakistan. Here, in our
schools, no difference is treated between male and female workers. We
take care of female staff more than male ones. And yes, we are failed
in teaching Womens Rights. If we will start this topic, the Unknown
Hand will crush us. We are already come to end due to shortage of
funds. If the above hand move, than, this candle will never light up.
And I think, you people will sleep in the west, doing seminars and we
will be buried underground.
Democratic participation
This is not our field. We just educate.
Sustainable development
We are doing the basic work. Today, Japan is 99.9% educated. This is
there secret of success. Today, Japan is in very good and strong
economic position. Pakistan and Japan start establishing in same year.
Japan is one of the world's most richest, advanced, developed country
but Pakistan is going back to past. I am not sad for this position, I
am sad for the way in which my nation is going. We are going to past.
Fake reports says education is improving in Pakistan and literacy rate
grew up from 9% to 17%. While actually it is reduced to 7%.
In
Pakistan, a Non Educated person can become Minister or Education by
buying/preparing fake documents. So, it is not impossible to prepare
fake report? Japan spends heavy amounts on education. On the other
hand, Pakistan earn from students.
Human rights
This is a
false and fake story of Humans Rights. We are not humans and nor we
have any right. It is said, The stories of Books are better laying in
Books. Is not it enough that Pakistan has created a ministry of human
rights and a minister is moving in his fancy car?
Understanding, tolerance, solidarity
We believe in practical work, more than these things.
Free flow of information and knowledge
Here in our schools, students study 5 Urdu and 1 English newspapers. We
had arranged Internet in school. But due to shortage of funds, only 1%
students can use it. Because, we only have 2 computers which can run
Internet. We believe in free flows of information.
International peace and security
We are planning to buy a projector since 6 years. Whenever we bought,
we will show the advance foreign world to our students, to reduce the
difference between west and east, peace and even, UN's programs on
Peace. We are not in position to do anything solid.

Pakistanis, Indians and Afghans. But our network in only in the Sindh

culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
Advice for Secretary General and the General Assembly:
1. Veto power of all courtiers should be canceled. Or this power should be given to all member countries.
2. Enforce powerful nations to give rights to small nations.
3. Enforce rich nations to forgive the loans and mark up of poor nations.
4. Staff of UN should be increase for the transparent use of UN's
funds. And not to trust in the third world's corrupt governments.
5. To stop the religious differences. Rich nations should allow the
poor country's emigrants in a fixed quantity for reducing poorness.
6. To solve the problems between small countries eg. Pakistan and India or Palestine and Israel.

Our NGO can nothing in this field. The need of a Hungry man is meal.

planned by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)? |
Our TAR7 Program: (Target for 2007)
We are struggling to achieve this target for 2007.
Teaching English Language to all Children:
We had start teaching conversation also. For the year 2007, we will
teach English language to more than 1000 children. Now, we thought
general conversation in English to 8 to 15 years old children and after
2007, every children will know English. We are so thankful of a Punjabi
rich man who bought 50 English Conversation books. The price of one
book is Rs.15/- (US$ 0.25) After 2007, there will be no child in our
school who will be unable to talk in English.
To Educate Working Children:
There are so many children who want to get education but they are
orphans. They protect their family by earning more or less US$ 20 a
month.
For 2010, our target to educate working children. I am
doing my business and spend my income on nation's children. My speed of
earning is very slow, but someday, I will achieve the target. As we
were nothing and we are educating since 17 years.
First Aid Training for females:
First aid training will be given to female children this year. My
friend, recently returned from Russia, Dr. M. Sumer will come to teach
voluntarily.
Change in our "No Donation and No order" policy:
Our plan is to get donation and help Orphan children by educating and
paying them to protect their family. We had changed our policy of "No
donation".
Good suggestions from anybody are always welcome.
Installation of Clean Water devoice:
Water Filters will be fix in schools to clean water for children. Pakistani water is so polluted and like a poison.
Installation of Projector in School:
Projector will be fix in school by which we will teach children. And tell how the world is advanced.
Installation of Power Generator and Boring for water:
For reducing expenses, we are looking for boring for water and fixing a
Solar Energy Generator. (Need US$ 300 for water's permanent solution
and US$ 1800 for Power Generator.)
Training of Teachers/ Appointing more qualified teachers:
We will send our staff for training if we have resources. And even,
more highly qualified teachers will be appointed here. And even, some
pocket money will be paid to volunteers.
Appreciating Foreigners:
When first time a foreign tourist come to our school, our students, and
we staff were scared from him. He was our pen friend. But in a few
days, we come to know, that he is a good and sincere friend.
When I
used Internet first time, I was thinking as other Pakistani think that
Americans are enemies and they want to kill us all. Before chatting
with American girl, I was also thinking the same. But when I meet
Angela who reside in PA, USA, I come to know, she is not our enemy. And
after some months, I come to know, she is not my only friend. And I
come to know that the Americans are not our enemies. Soon, I found many
other Americans who were talking me so friendly. These things changed
my mind. When another foreign brave guest (Mr. Patrick W.) come to our
school, and stayed here in this poor standard of life for 8 days, he
taught in our school to children in English, which was so helpful for
peace and reducing hate.
Now, he went back to his country and he will come again some day.
Look at a TV program of George Ka Pakistan on the channel Geo TV of
Pakistan. Peoples Love the British citizen Mr. George Filton very much.
And now, George refuses to go back to England. He says, I Love peoples
of Pakistan because, they love me very much. Patthans peoples in
world's most dangerous areas loved me and I can not express my
happiness in words. Here, bus's ticket collector does not get ticket
from me. Shopkeeper do not get price of things, restaurants do not
charge money on my meal. And little children Love me and I think I can
never go back to my country. And I am looking to apply for Pakistani
nationality.
These things are very nice to create world peace. We
will welcome the foreign and will be very happy. If I / We have money,
we can spend. Our American friend Angela always says she will come and
she is not scared at all but she is poor. If I found a chance, I will
send her air tickets.
We are planning to set up more computers
and more use of Internet. These things can change the views of peoples.
Today, the image of American in our society is more horrible than a
ghost.
But if the system do not change and I disappointed, I will move to a foreign country and close all schools someday. Ha hah ha
