PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
The
most goal of the organisation is the we are trying to get the way for
these people to be re-integrated to the communities and be self
reliance in future The main goals of the projects is the raise
funds so that those who came back from the bush can go back to formal
education, vocational school and setting up business for those who have
no way of joining either formal education or vocational education.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?

There is bitter words by the communities. Re-abduction of our colleagues by the rebels and the government soldiers, Transport

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
What
we are doing counseling our colleagues who have just returned recently
from the bush, advocating to those who still in the bush to come back
home, Speaking by our own voice to the local, national and
international bodies about the suffering youths and children are facing
and a result of the war.
TO FOSTER A CULTURE OF PEACE IN THE
COMMUNITY AND AMONG THE YOUTHS, AND TO THAT END: TO ADVOCATE FOR AND
TAKE EFFECTIVE MEASURES FOR THE PREVENTION AND REMOVAL OF THREATS TO
THE PEACE, AND FOR THE SUPPRESSION OF ACTS OF AGGRESSION, AND TO BRING
ABOUT BY PEACEFUL MEANS, AND IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF
JUSTICE, CALL FOR NON VIOLENT SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES OR SITUATIONS
WHICH MIGHT LEAD TO A BREACH OF THE PEACE AT ALL LEVELS; 2. TO
CREATE A FORUM FOR YOUTHS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS OF AN ECONOMIC, SOCIAL,
CULTURAL, OR HUMANITARIAN CHARACTER, AND FOR PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING
RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND FOR FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS FOR ALL WITHOUT
DISTINCTION AS TO RACE, SEX, LANGUAGE, OR RELIGION.
