PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Our project is in its preliminary stage, and significant results are yet to bee seen.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?

None so far.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
In
cooperation with The Nansen Academy in Lillehammer and their more than
10 years of work on Nansen Dialogue Centers in former Jugoslavia,
Lillehammer Municipality in February 2005 engaged in a cooperation
project with International Management Group (IMG), Belgrade Office on
"Consultancy Services for South Serbia infrastructure / Municipal
Development Project", specifically aimed at the municipalities of
Bujanovacs and Presevo.

give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
Strengthen all dialogue work.

PARTNERSHIPS: What partnerships and
networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace? |
Lillehammer
Municipality participate in a scandinavian partnership of twin-towns,
and in addition has partnership agreement with the Municipality of
Oberhof in Germany.
Our involvement in Serbia is not a
partnership as such, rather a cooperation project with specific aims
and timescedule. It might end in a partnership agreement, but that is
not the issue so far.

nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)? |
To complete the plan of action stated in the contract with IMG on South Serbia.
