PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
No. See the war on terror (Iraq) and Dafur.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
1.
The war on terror and the fact that the USA is willing to start a war
without the permission of the UN. The USA is giving a very bad example
in the starting this war and in the way they are treating their
prisoners. If the most powerfull country of the world is giving this
example, how can we expect that other countries will keep international
law?
2. The UN is not willing to send peacekeepers to Sudan. The UN is too divided.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?

1. We made with two rappers a videoclip against the war in Iraq. It was many times broadcasted on the Box.
2.
We protest against the commercialisation in this world. Greed is one of
the underlying courses for war in the world. If the western world wants
to stay prosperous, it has to defend himself. Alas most people don't
want to give up their one wealth. We started with taking actions
against advertisements, by making adbusts, replacing
streetadvertisements by art and by helping spread the billboard game, a
game that can be played on billboards (see www.playmark.org).
