PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
As
our organization is belongs to India who in in South -Asian continent.
So we have altogether keep the eyes closer to the cultural and economic
development. As we all know that India is a developing country and
still people of India are struggling for the identity. As country have
many cultural combinations and every culture is dominating in his
field. Our organization has define few indicators toward the peace for
cultural. In this process the respect of every religion is a important
task beyond this one could not rectify the complex city of the peace.
We have organized a few relative conjunctions in the field of cultural
peace. As the country is highly influence with the west and our
traditional godfathers are thought this as a cultural threat so defy
his attitude to restrict western outsides for to save the traditions of
the country. But education is also played the vital role and we have
created a modality indicator for the better education and this will
give the positive note for the cultural peace. But still we struggling
and finding new aspect of the cultural peace.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
The
major obstacle is education and the financial status. Most of the Asian
countries are far behind economically as comparison with the western
countries. Population is also a major for the economy. Economy and
education are the major resource for any developing country.
Simultaneously globalization is also effect on the people who are
struggling for many things at a time have little time to think to
rejuvenate for their cultural peace or save their waning cultural
morality. Without any prejudice Asians mainly Indians are sailing on
two boats and their strength is declining.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
Our
organization has taken up many actions to promote the cultural peach.
We have organized many seminars and one to one contact in the area.
Print advertisement was also a major weapon of ours and definiteatly we
have got the tremendous response even we have define the impacts of the
advertisements in the rural and urban areas. We also organized the
conclave and enhance the periodic meetings with the societies important
people as well as we have gave importance to the privileged class too
and try identify the cultural peace gap. At some stage we have come on
the stage of shorten the gap. but most effective idea was to refresh
the young brains and try to rejuvenate their ideas for the cultural
peace.

culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
More emphasis on partnership with open mind. Availability of resource is very important and man-to-man contact is important
.

networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace? |
Yet not we have any partner but I welcome if someone joins the hand with us.

PLANS: What new engagements are
planned by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)? |
At
this stage we are in a process to identify the major events and the
stretegy to do better goodwill for the cultural peace. for final stage
this will take another 3 months.
