PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Non
pas vraiment, dans cette décennie nous entendons parler de paix,
mais certaines personnes ne se sentent pas à l'aise avec ce
mot. Nous entendons parler d'une décennie de paix et la
non-violence mais c'est stupéfiant de voir les conflits et la violence
qu'il y a dans le monde. C'est difficile de sensibiliser les
jeunes et les adultes à l'importance de la paix. Quand nous
parlons de la paix, ou nous sommes perçus comme des
visionnaires, ou les disciples d'une secte. C'est comme si parler de la
paix a une connotation religieuse ou débranché. Pourtant, la paix
est quelque chose de simple, cela doit commencer en soi.
Mais avec toute cette violence qui nous entoure (vidéo,
télévision, la vie quotidienne) pour passer un message de paix en
2005, il est nécessaire d'être vraiment convaincu et convaincant de
l'importance de la paix.
Not really, in this decade we hear
speaking about peace but certain person do not feel at ease with
this word. We hear speaking about a decade of peace and
nonviolence but it is stunning conflicts and violence which there are
in the world.
It is difficult to sensitive the young people
of the secondary schools and the adults in the importance of the peace.
When we speaks about peace, sometime we are perceived as visionaries,
followers of a sect. It's as if to speak about peace is a religious
connotation or disconnected.
Nevertheless peace is so something more
simple, it must start in oneself. But with all this violence which
surrounds us (video, television, daily life) to spend a message of
peace in 2005, it is necessary to be really convinced and convincing of
the importance of peace.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
Manque
d'ouverture dans la collaboration de la part de certaines
organisations. Quand l'organisation se dit pour la paix et quand la
collaboration est difficile avec les autres, il est nécessaire de se
demander ce que la paix représente vraiment pour nous.
Lack
opening in the collaboration on behalf of certain organisation. When
organisation say themselves for the peace and when the collaboration is
difficult with the others, it is necessary to wonder about what peace
represents really for us.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
L'élaboration
d'un programme qui permet de donner une formation éducative à la paix
et aux comportements pacifiques aux étudiants des écoles secondaires
(14 - 17 ans). Après, ces jeunes sont accompagnés par un adulte et
deviennent les Ambassadeurs de la Paix auprès des élèves des écoles
primaires de leur municipalité. En soirée une réunion est prévue avec
les parents des élèves du primaire qui ont vécu l'activité le jour.
Depuis
6 ans, plus de 500 adolescents ont été des Ambassadeurs de Paix
auprès de plus de 20 000 enfants d'écoles primaires.
Le programme se
fait aussi au Liban depuis octobre 2002, avec des adolescents
Palestiniens et Libanais. Avec une équipe sous la
surveillance de Mme. Sana El-Bizri.

Le
programme "Les ambassadeurs de Paix" a reçu une reconnaissance de
l'UNESCO à la page 15 de leur publication "Bonnes pratiques de

Elaboration
of a program which allows to give an educational training to the peace
and to the peaceful behavior to the students of secondary schools ( 14
- 17 years). Afterward, these young people accompanied by an adult,
become the Peace Ambassadors nearby the pupils of the elementary
schools of their municipality. In the evening a meeting is foreseen
with the parents of the pupils of the primary who lived activity in the
day.
For 6 years, more than 500 teenagers of the secondary school
have been Peace Ambassadors nearby more than 20 000
children of the primary school.
The program makes also in the
Lebanon since October, 2002, with Lebanese and Palestinians
teenagers. With a team under the supervision of Mrs Sana El-Bizri.

Peace Ambassadors " program received a recognition of the Unesco on the

ADVICE: What advice would you like to
give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
Notre
programme compte sur la force et le dynamisme des adolescents à
sensibiliser les enfants à l'importance de la paix. Ces jeunes
seront les adultes de demain. Leur contribution et leur
participation à ce monde de paix et de respect que nous souhaitons sont
d'une grande importance. Le Secrétaire général et l'Assemblée Générale
doivent favoriser l'implication des adolescents dans la promotion de la
paix.
Our program counts on the force and the dynamism of the
teenagers to sensitive the childrens in the importance of the
peace. These young people will be the adults of tomorrow. Their
contribution and their participation to this world of peace and respect
which we wish are VERY important. The General Secretary and the General
Assembly have to favor the implication of the teenagers in the
promotion of the peace.

PARTNERSHIPS: What partnerships and
networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace? |
Nous
souhaitons développer des liens avec des organismes dont les gens
sont sensibles à la paix et la non-violence. Nous tenons une
communication par courrier électronique avec l'équipe des
Ambassadeurs de Paix au Liban.
We are to develop links with
organisation who sensitive people in the peace and the nonviolence. We
keep a communication e-mail with the team of the Peace Ambassadors
in the Lebanon.
