For Progress and Obstacles, see international report by Pathways to Peace which makes an annual report of Peace Day activities, from which the following is taken:

A Peal For Peace, Inuvik, Northwest Territories, held a noon hour ceremony at the Jimmy Adams Peace Park, which included a short program, including music performed by students of the Sir Alexander Mackenzie School and one minute of silence, ending in a "joyful noise" at 12:00 noon, (bells and sirens, singing and Inuvialuit Drumming). A donated lunch followed the program and a collection was made for UNICEF. Everyone attending was invited to sign the banner. (2003)

Canadian Peace Alliance and Peacetalk, Medicine Hat, Alberta, joined International Peace Day events across Canada. Drummers were invited along with the Social Justice Tea Party folks to share a common interest in peace within ourselves, our nation, and the world. Events began at 6 pm, in Riverside Park near the band shell, and participants brought picnic to the park, extending this invitation to the people with whom you work and play and pray. "We hope to find peace within ourselves and send good vibes out to the community." (2004)

Our Lady’s Missionaries held a noontime moment of silence, followed by sounding a gong, a Eucharistic celebration, and Prayers for Peace, In Toronto. (2004)

Peace the 21st, a project of the Fellowship of Universal White Light, holds meditations for the equinoxes and solstices at its headquarters and throughout the world, and focused its Circle of Light Healing Meditation for the International Day of Peace. Unified People Communities (A Community Initiative for the People by the People), at Galt Gardens, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Tuesday September 21 2004 11:00pm to 4:00pm, there was live music, prayers and stories. At noon all were asked to observe this day by participating with one minute of silence, followed by a rally and celebration of International Day of Peace. (2004)
