PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
Yes. We
have organizated a lot of meetings about culture of peace and
nonviolence, especially to graduate students with specialists in this
area. Almost we made the plan and the execution of a "Escola
Nacional de Jovens Lideranças" (National school of young leaders), and
the "Agenda Jovem 2002" (National Plan about youngers).

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
The
inexistence of a National Program about young peolple (beteween 15 and
29 years-old), and consequently the inexistence of finantial resourses.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
Participated
of the campain of disarmament promote at many others organization.
Coletion of report with a lot of organization and it summarizes of the
common points. After this points were directed to the Presidents´ candidates.

organizaçoes da sociedade civil e que, por consenso, votaram as
propostas mínimas em prol da juventude brasileira. O documento final
(Carta da Agenda Jovem) foi encaminhada na época para todos os
pré-candidatos a Presidência da República e estes incluíram em seus
respectivos programas de governo algumas propostas.
A
segurança pública e o Estado de direito. Evento que reuniu no auditório
da Candido Mendes mais de 300 estudantes de direito para ouvirem os
palestrantes: Marcelo Cerqueira (advogado do IAB); Antonio Biscaia
(Promotor de Justiça), Marcello Alencar (es-governador) e Denise
Frossard (juíza aposentada).

To
convince the goverments of the world about the importance of invest in
the young people like a oportunitt of develop themselfs.

networks does your organization participate in, thus strengthening the
global movement for a culture of peace? |

Promote courses with young people at the Rio de Janeiro state.
