PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
We
are a group committed to build up a supportive and sympathetic world.
We have been trying to encourage initiatives to gather people in order
to:
- Instigate the reflection about social and ethical values and the present lifestyle; -
Stimulate the dialogue and make people aware of the need for new
attitudes, whether it’s in the personal, communitary or planetary range; - Increase the health, the dignity and the welfare of each individual as well as the group’s; -
Sensitize towards cooperation and also towards the initiatives of a
collective nature and the resumption of human values and attitudes
involved in mutual help and tolerance.
|
OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?
|
-
The precariousness of socio-economical resources available to the
population as a whole (including the members of Art & Health)
demands a huge endeavor and time to guarantee its survival. It also
hinders the maintenance and the solidification of some of the groups
initiative; - The lack of preparation to exert the collective activities; -
Very little sensitivity from the public authorities and businessman as
regards the possible partnerships in the facing of social matters.
|
