PROGRESS: Has your organization seen
progress toward a culture of peace and nonviolence in your domain of
action and in your constituency during the first half of the Decade? |
We
have with a very enxity that there has occured a silent violence
continuously. But the corruption in every where could not prevent the
violence. Only to protect the violence of crime Government
stablished a Speacial Force which is called RAB(Rapid Action
Battelion)Which have formed by the membef of Army,Navy,Air Force &
Pollice. But they have doing unlawfull Killing Without any questioning.
All ready hundreed of so called criminal killed by them in their
custody.

OBSTACLES: What are the most important obstacles that have prevented progress?

The Seperation of Judicial system Under the Govenment. Means not control Judicial System by the Government.

ACTIONS: What actions have been
undertaken by your organization to promote a culture of peace and
nonviolence during the first half of the Decade?
|
Our
organization launced very soon. From January 2004 We started our
activities. We Got Government Registration January 2005. Also We have
not good enough Fund to work seriously. With our limitation by sending
the letter to the appropriate aouthority to aware them & take
necessary action to take possetive roll for culture of peace. In this
sector (like Jatra,A traditional play which is performed infront to the
viewer in rural area of Bangladesh which about to stop & a lot of
performer is now unemployed) there have much more oppertunity to work.
Also Who are the minorities & ethnics would lost tere culture.

give to the Secretary-General and the General Assembly to promote a
culture of peace and nonviolence during the second half of the Decade? |
To
need the awareness & the help of Government directly. The people of
Bangladesh are very soft minded. So there have need much more
Government involvment to come out the cultural activities with the
interested NGO groups.

nonviolence in the second half of the Decade (2005-2010)? |
At
first we have need a good Fund. If we got a good fund by my
expereiences(I travel all through the Bangladesh by which I have know
the actual problems) I make a plan which would be depend on getting
Fund.
